X Rocker 5172801 Vibe 2.1 Wireless Bluetooth Gaming Floor Rocker Review
The X-Rocker’s build quality is excellent, and it won plenty of design awards. There’s a lot of adjustability, so you don’t have to alter the chair’s height, tilt or width to match the differences between your size.
The chair has a sturdy steel frame, but you’re unlikely to have any issues if a child clambers up on top.
It’s tough to keep a steady position in the chair, and it does lean back a bit when pushed.
Thankfully, the adjustable height, tilt and recline mean you can easily change the chair’s angle when you want to use armrests.
The chair has an adjustable armrest, which moves up and down, letting you raise it to a comfortable resting position, or slide it down as you make your way up and down the stairs.
The X-Rocker has an impressive range of features, which you’ll probably only discover after spending a couple of hours in the chair.
There are buttons you can push to activate or deactivate side-to-side rocking. Another button lets you lock the chair in place, so you can lay flat if you need to. Other buttons let you increase or decrease the seat’s tilt, recline, and height, so you can decide how you want to sit on the chair.
Finally, there’s a wireless controller you can use to control the chair’s features. You operate the controller by gently clicking and pressing buttons, which made using it easier than the preset buttons.
The seat’s sides are padded well so they’re comfortable when sitting for long periods, but the seat’s positioning isn’t quite as comfortable.
A metal bar runs directly in the middle of the seat, and, as such, you’re sat at the corner of this bar. While it’s comfortable, it’s not as comfortable as a seat that’s wider, with a thicker cushion.
You should also be careful when pushing away, since it’s so easy to hit your back on the bar. As well as a set of speakers near the headrest, the chair has a subwoofer at the rear.
This provides a rumbling effect as you sit back, and makes the seat feel substantially more massive than your standard gaming chair. The speakers are good, too, and they provide good audio.
Overall, the X Rocker is a good gaming chair, and it’s designed well enough to use for a long time. However, if you’re tall, its narrow seat may prove uncomfortable, and it isn’t as comfortable as a standard gaming chair.
You’re paying for comfort, though, and it’s ideal for people who like to play games or watch movies or TV.
- – Very comfortable
- – The speakers in the headrest are great
- – The vibration motors are nice
- – The design is nice
- – The chairs are very sturdy
- – The speakers do not swivel
- – The speakers are very loud

Connectivity: Make sure that the model you choose supports Bluetooth as well as wired headphones.
Vibration feedback: All models offer this fun feature, which offers feedback to gameplay.
Additional speakers: Some models offer two speakers, while others offer three.
Power: Most floor rockers run on batteries. We preferred those that lasted 30 hours or more.
Speakers: While audio quality is subjective, we preferred speakers that delivered balanced sound with clear highs, mids and bass.
Options: Most floor rockers have a single speaker, but dual audio can be a nice bonus. Built-in apps, such as Amazon Alexa, can come in handy, as can speakers that sync to music apps like Spotify or Pandora.
